In 2007, the Arc of Cumberland County provided year round Special Olympics training   activities in swimming, bocce ball, and bowling for adults and adolescents with disabilities.   These training sessions culminated in local, regional, state, and even International competitions for our athletes.   In 2007, we continued our “Healthy Lifestyles” activities in our recreation services menu   which included a walk team, exercise classes, weekly yoga classes, Weight Watchers programs,   and “Healthy Lifestyles” cooking classes. We continue to provide the “Socialites” monthly dances at the Evanoff Center from September to June.   Our staff provided approximately 5,000 hours of services to 80 recreation program participants.
